Ara “A.J.” Karian is a member of the Leaders in Education / Young Learners Board of Directors and joined the board in 2005. A.J. currently serves in the capacity of Treasurer of the board. A.J. brings over forty years of financial management to the group.
A.J. has worked the field of business and estate planning for Brock Financial Group and MML Investors Services in Houston, Texas, since 1990. A. J. is responsible for recommending and implementing business succession, retirement and benefit plans for private companies from ten to 100 employees with sales of $1 to $20 million. A.J. is also a Certified Public Accountant by the State of Texas.
A.J. attended the University of Massachusetts where he received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
